Portugal, officially the Portuguese Republic is a sovereign state located mostly on the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe. Portugal is the oldest state on the Iberian Peninsula and one of the oldest European nation-states. It is the westernmost country of Europe, bordered to the west and south by the Atlantic Ocean and to the north and east by Spain. Its territory also includes the Atlantic archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira.

Government and Regime
Portugal is a unitary semi-presidential representative democratic republic and has a multi-party system. The President of Portugal is the executive head of state and has several significant political powers, which he exercises often. The party system has been dominated by the social democratic Socialist Party and the liberal-conservative Social Democratic Party.
Landscaping
Portugal is divided by the Tagus River, which separates the rugged north from the rolling plains in the south. The Portuguese coast is extensive and is characterized by rough cliffs and sandy beautiful beaches. It is also rich with wide plains, planted with mostly Mediterranean olive trees and vineyards.

Procedure
The citizenship by investment requires the applicants to acquire documents as follows:
  • Procedure 1
    Open Borders shall pre-screen your passport copy for Government pre-approval. Down payment of professional fees to open your application.
  • Procedure 2
    Open Borders will assist and advise you with the collection of the documents required in the checklist.
  • Procedure 3
    Submit application for initial approval. Choose Business Investment, Fixed deposit or real estate.
  • Procedure 4
    Open bank account, purchase real estate, meet immigration officer.
  • Procedure 5
    Receive EU Permanent Residency Card. Visit Portugal for a 1 week a year for 5 years to fulfill residency requirement.
